Options from multiple insurance companies, not just one
A licensed North Carolina agent right here in Lake Norman
For: adults, often 50+, who don't want to leave funeral costs behind.
A smaller whole life policy designed to help your family pay for a funeral, burial or cremation, medical bills, and other final costs. Many plans use simple health questions instead of an exam.
For: homeowners who want their family to keep the house.
Life insurance sized to your mortgage, so if you pass away, your family has money to pay off the home or keep making the payments. The benefit goes to your family, not the bank.
For: families who need a lot of protection at an affordable cost.
Coverage for a set number of years, such as 10, 20, or 30, while kids are at home, the mortgage is big, or your income matters most. Usually the most coverage for the money.
For: people who want coverage that never runs out.
Permanent coverage for your entire life, with premiums that typically stay level and cash value that builds over time. Good for leaving a legacy or making sure coverage is always there.
A contract with an insurance company that can grow your savings tax-deferred and, depending on the option you choose, turn it into a steady income stream, including income for life.
No pressure and no confusing jargon, just honest help finding the right fit.

FAQ
Common questions
Straight answers to questions people ask most. Have another one? Just call.
What's the difference between term and whole life insurance?
Term life covers you for a set period, such as 10, 20, or 30 years. It's usually the most affordable way to get a large amount of coverage, but it has no cash value and ends when the term is over.
Whole life is permanent: it's designed to last your entire life as long as premiums are paid, typically with level premiums and a cash value that grows over time. It costs more than term for the same death benefit. Many people use a mix of both.
What does final expense insurance cover?
Final expense insurance pays a cash benefit to the person you name (your beneficiary) when you pass away. They can use it for whatever is needed, most often funeral, burial or cremation costs, medical bills, credit cards, or other debts. It's usually a smaller whole life policy, which helps keep premiums manageable on a fixed income.
What is mortgage protection insurance?
Mortgage protection is life insurance chosen to match your mortgage, so your family can pay off the house or keep making payments if you pass away. Unlike PMI (which protects the lender), the benefit is paid to your beneficiaries, and they decide how to use it. Some plans also offer optional riders, such as benefits for certain illnesses; availability varies by plan.
What does an annuity do?
An annuity is a contract with an insurance company. Depending on the type, it can help your retirement savings grow tax-deferred, protect your money from market losses, and/or turn a lump sum into regular income payments, including options that pay for as long as you live. Annuities are long-term products and may have surrender charges for early withdrawals, so it's important to understand the details first.
Do I need a medical exam?
Not always. Some plans don't require an exam and use a short list of health questions instead; this is common with final expense and some term policies. Other plans, often for larger coverage amounts, may require an exam. Requirements depend on the insurance company, the product, your age, and how much coverage you want.
Can I still get coverage if I have health problems?
Often, yes. Different insurance companies view health conditions differently, which is a big reason to work with an independent agent who can compare them. Some plans are designed for people with health issues, though they may have a waiting period before the full benefit is paid. All coverage is subject to each company's underwriting and eligibility rules.
Does it cost anything to talk with you?
No. Conversations and quotes are free, and there's no obligation to buy. Like most independent agents, Matt is paid by the insurance company if you decide to purchase a policy.
